A Plug for “60 Ways to Leave Your Mother (Alone)”
September 25th, 2008
It’s plug week! I want to mention another online project from my friend Michael Buckley– a comic called 60 Ways to Leave Your Mother (Alone).
He captures, I think beautifully, all these tiny details of childhood. I believe he draws it all by hand, using a pen he fashioned from a shiv he fashioned from a toothbrush. And the ink is made from copier toner mixed with blood and saliva. Anyway… it’s wonderful, and you’ll want to slow down and take your time looking at it.
